Privacy policy

PitNote is made by Camelot Network. It keeps your notes on your phone. This policy says what it keeps, what it can send, and when. Questions: admin@camelot.network.

Last changed 6 October 2026.

What stays on your phone

Your notes, photos, voice notes, files, packs, tidy copies and settings are kept in PitNote's own storage on your phone. There is no account and no PitNote server. We (the people who make PitNote) never receive your notes.

PitNote has no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting.

Your notes are not copied to Google's phone backup. Uninstalling PitNote deletes them, so use Settings › Backup to keep your own copy. A backup file holds everything, location stamps included, so keep it somewhere safe.

Photos, voice and location

  • Photos are taken with your phone's camera app, or picked from your gallery. When you keep one, PitNote removes its hidden details (such as where it was taken) from the copy it keeps.
  • The microphone is used only while you record a voice note.
  • Location is off until you turn on Settings › General › Location stamps, and your phone allows it. Then a note you keep gets a location stamp, kept on the phone. That stamp is left out of anything you share unless you tick Include location stamp. Turn it off, or take the permission back in your phone's settings, at any time.

What can be sent, and only when you turn it on

Nothing below is on until you turn it on in Settings › AI.

  • Cloud AI sends what you ask (a message, or a photo to describe) to the AI service you set up, using your own key. If you let the AI read notes (Settings › AI › What AI may do), the notes it reads to answer you are sent too. That service's own privacy policy applies to what it receives.
  • On-device Gemini (in the optional AI add-on) runs on your phone through Google's ML Kit. Your note text stays on the phone, but ML Kit sends Google usage information about the feature.

An AI key you enter stays on your phone, is sent only to that service, and is not put in a backup.

How it's kept safe

  • PitNote keeps everything in its own private storage on your phone, which other apps can't read. Your phone's encryption and screen lock protect it too.
  • Inside the phone, PitNote's screens talk to its own storage over a private connection that only PitNote can use.
  • An AI service you set up is reached over an encrypted connection (https), unless you give it an address that isn't.

Sharing

PitNote sends nothing to email, Teams or anything else by itself. When you use Copy, Share, Save as PDF or Download, you choose what goes where.

Google Play

If you install PitNote from Google Play, Google handles the download and updates under its own privacy policy.

Keeping and deleting your data

PitNote keeps what you save until you delete it.

  • A deleted note goes to Recently deleted for 30 days, then it's erased for good, with its follow-ups and files.
  • Uninstalling PitNote deletes everything it kept on the phone.
  • An AI service you used keeps what it received under its own policy. Ask that service to delete it.

Children

PitNote is made for work, and is not meant for children.

Changes and contact

If this changes, the new version will be in the app (Settings › About › Privacy policy) and at pitnote.camelot.network/privacy, with a new date.
